Really nice campsite, in a great location with views over the surrounding hills. Felt relaxed, with modern facilities and plenty of space. The showers were great, clean with hot water, just need a £1 coin! There was some noise (music) from a tent near me in the evening, but the campsite owner very politely asked for the volume to be lowered, which I appreciated! Overall a great stay.

Stayed over mid September for 2 nights. Owners greeted me upon arrival and were helpful. Amenities were clean and good. Unfortunately the campsite is right above the flight path for Manchester Airport which I know nothing can be done about that but it ruined my sleep as it went on all night.

Went for DadFest. Toilets were clean and showers were great - although it’s £1 coin for 10 mins or 20p for 2 mins. Walk down to the reservoir was nice and the food was ok. Location is on a farm near Manchester so be prepared to hear the cockerel early morning and planes flying over.

Fantastic friendly and relaxed campsite - Clean facilities (dont forget your 20ps for the showers), helpful and knowledgeable staff. Only lost a star for the food - which was freshly cooked and well priced but would have loved to see local produce on the menu! Cade is also a brilliant artist and his work would be an amazing addition to the beautiful "Cow Shed" cafe! Animals were amazing - friendly peacocks, horses and Meg with her poorly leg! Absolutley stunning views - will definatley come back! Thanks guys!! Loads o Love

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Crossgate Campsite and Café in Tintwistle with my 5-year-old son. Booking was seamless, even last-minute, and we were welcomed so warmly by Deborah over the phone and her son in person. A warm smile and kind character. The site itself is beautiful, set against the stunning backdrop of Arnfield Reservoir and surrounded by peaceful woodland trails and views across the Pennine Bridleway. The facilities are spotlessly maintained, and the on-site café was a lovely touch, serving great food and drinks. One of the highlights for my son was seeing the beautiful peahen and majestic peacock wandering gracefully around the site. A truly magical touch for children and adults alike! We haven't left yet and are already looking forward to returning soon with my fiancée and our younger daughter. To show them this genuinely special place we’re so glad to have discovered. Highly recommended! Thank you ! Fraser & Xavier

Stayed 1 night in July on the campsite in our tent. There was a summer bbq event on and it was super busy, the food was incredible, and the weather made it feel like abroad. The Music was good too, and the toilets showers weren’t bad either. we walked from Hadfield Station and it was fine. We also walked to the waterfalls at arnfield brook in the peak district, which was amazing and only 25-30 mins walk from the site. The views from the tent are excellent

When I hear it's £10 on the phone as a backpacker it's like music to my ears. The field is massive with several benches which I was told you can move around to your liking. Facilities were spotless. The showers cost 20p per 2mins and are hot. I spoke to several women staff, they were all helpful and friendly, thank you.

Great campsite, extremely friendly staff. Lovely barn cafe/bar for when the weather is naff. I was pleasantly surprised when we stayed a night to try our new tents out. I feel the site was better than listed or maybe it was old posts. Water tap, showers, serviced portals, bar, cafe, animals, local attractions, hikes, walks etc. we will camp there again for sure.
